On behalf of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET), I invite you to attend the ACPET 2012 National Conference in Sydney on 30 and 31 August.
The theme for the conference, ‘The changing tertiary education sector’, is designed to challenge preconceived ideas, inform about new possibilities and inspire further innovation.
The venue for the conference is The Westin situated in the old General Post Office building in Martin Place in the centre of the city, surrounded by fashion retailers and restaurants. The Westin is also only minutes from the Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, NSW Art Gallery and our wonderful harbour.
The ACPET national conference is the largest gathering of private and not-for-profit educators and trainers in Australia and provides a fantastic opportunity for networking and professional development.
ACPET is Australia’s peak industry association for independent providers of tertiary education and training. We represent 1,100 members that offer higher education, vocational education, English language and foundation courses to Australian and international students.
Our mission is to enhance quality, choice, innovation and diversity in Australian education and training – this year’s conference will definitely do that. An inspiring line up of international and national speakers – from marketing, government, business, industry, academia and regulation – will challenge you to address the changing circumstances in your own organisation.
A social program over the two-days will complement the professional development being undertaken. A welcome cocktail function on Thursday night will provide plenty of opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. On Friday night, the conference dinner will include the inaugural ACPET Awards for Excellence – make sure you come along to celebrate the best of the best in our sector.
I look forward to welcoming you to the ACPET 2012 National Conference.
